Abstract

Da die treibhausgasemissionen weiter steigen, deuten klimaprojektionen auf eine zunehmende wahrscheinlichkeit von hitzewellen und trockeneren bedingungen in kanada hin. Diese veränderungen stellen erhebliche herausforderungen für den weinbau dar, insbesondere während kritischer wachstumsphasen wie bei neuanpflanzungen. Interspezifische hybrid-rebsorten, die durch verschiedene zuchtprogramme entwickelt wurden und vitis vinifera mit robusteren arten wie v. Riparia und v. Labrusca kombinieren, werden oft wegen ihrer potenziellen widerstandsfähigkeit gegen umweltstress gelobt.
